Colour Change Russian Leaf Pendant Necklace Bead Pattern

This Colour Change Russian Leaf Pendant Necklace is surprisingly quick and easy to bead and makes a lovely gift for yourself or a special friend! This necklace was originally designed for my mother who was going away on holiday and wanted some necklaces to match her outfits. As she was travelling light she didn’t want to take a lot of jewellery so I came up with the idea of having a colour change necklace. You only make one necklace and pendants can be clipped on or off of the necklace as required to match the outfit. Not only did she take a range of different coloured Russian leaf pendants on holiday she also choose some threadabead earring and pendant patterns which I adapted to work with the necklace by simply adding a wire guardian to the top of them. Its also a great way to use up left over colours as each pendant does not take many beads to make up! This Colour Change Russian Leaf Necklace bead pattern is made using Japanese Miyuki size 11 Delica beads and peyote stitch is used. It is assumed the beader will be familiar with Peyote however full instructions to make the pendant and necklace are given in the pattern. Peyote stitch bead instructions are available free on www.threadabead.com. Please note the pattern may not work with any other size and type of beads. There are 3 colours in total (to make one pendant and necklace) and the finished pendant is approximately 5 cm x 2.25 cm. The necklace can be made to almost any length. 25 x 4mm Clear Crystals, 3 x Wire Guardians, 1 x 10mm Parrot Clasp and 1 x 6mm Jump Ring are required. Please note almost any beads 3-5 cm in matching colours would work however. The bead pattern supplied is 21 pages and includes a colour chart of suggested delicas and full colour photo instructions for making the pendant and necklace.
