Snowman Bauble with 3cm Beaded Bauble Instructions Bead Pattern

Usually we mount our 3cm bauble patterns on a 3cm glass bauble. Sometimes it may not be appropriate to use glass where there is a danger of breakage, or they may even be difficult to source out of season (we do sell them in our shop all year around though!). As a result we have created a beaded version that works with the majority of our 3cm bauble patterns and eliminates the need for a glass bauble! By adding a beaded top and bottom using delica size 11 beads to the main strip of beadwork you can get the look of a glass bauble without the worry of it breaking or the additional cost of purchasing the baubles. Included with the instructions is a friendly snowman pattern and 3 style ideas – a plain base, fringe work or tassel. Note we have designed this pattern so designs and fringes on previous ThreadABead bauble patterns can be added to the bauble as usual, there are literally hundreds of combinations to choose from! Why not revisit your favorite ThreadABead bauble patterns and see what different baubles you can create! This bead pattern is made using Japanese Miyuki size 11 Delica beads and peyote used. It is assumed the beader will be familiar with Peyote but instructions are available free on www.threadabead.com. Please note the pattern may not work with any other size and type of beads. There are 9 colours in total and the finished beadwork is approximately 7.5 cm x 3.5 cm. 2 x 6mm crystals ABs are required for the bauble. 7 x 6mm crystals ABs and 5 x 4mm crystal ABs are required for the tassel. 14 x 6mm crystals ABs and 28 x 4mm crystal ABs are required or the fringe-work. Note it is advisable to use 1-2 no tangle thread bobbins in this pattern to prevent your long threads getting tangled. Additional polyester wadding can be used inside the bauble to help it keep its shape, but this is not necessary. The pattern supplied is 17 pages and includes close up photo of the finished work, a colour chart of suggested delicas, a colour pattern, a numbered coloured pattern and assembly instructions (including fringe-work instructions).
