I happened upon this method by chance when a piece of peyote beadwork I created was too small and I needed to widen it. I found I could easily add the extra column of beads by using Brick Stitch at the end. Now whenever I need to do odd count peyote I always use this method!
I mention this method in most of my patterns, but I have been asked by several of you to provide more details – so here it is!
