At the start of summer poppies really come into their own, creating large splashes of colour in the countryside, its no wonder they are the favorite flower of so many.
On this box there is a realistic 3d style beaded poppy on top. The poppy is beaded using a form of peyote stitch. Around the sides of the box is a scene of poppies in a field with the occasional bee and butterfly hovering by – just like on a lovely summers day.
In this pattern we give full detailed photographic and graphic instructions, and there are 89 detailed steps, making this pattern even suitable for beginners to beading.
We also give instructions for turning the 3D poppy into a brooch for you to wear!
This bead pattern is made using Japanese Miyuki size 11 Delica. Round Peyote stitch is used but full detailed instructions are given, and no previous knowledge of the stitch is required. Please note the pattern may not work with any other size and type of beads.
There are 13 delica colours in total and the finished beadwork is approximately 5cm (h) x 4.75cm(w).
12 x 3mm Jet and 1 x 8mm Jet Fire Polished round beads are also required, a red felt pen is optional. If you would like to make a brooch a 20mm two hole brooch bar finding is also required.
The bead pattern supplied is 38 pages and includes 89 step by step photo and graphic instructions. A word chart is also included.
