Christmas Village - A Mini 3D Delica Christmas Beadwork Stocking Bead Pattern

We already have a very popular set of Santa stockings that we know you all love, however with the amount of beads and detail they contain they do few quite a few hours to bead and are really an heirloom piece. You may have had many people admire it, but perhaps you don’t have time to make one for everyone. We thought, why don’t we create a detailed and pretty mini stocking that would be ideal to give as quick gifts this Christmas! This stocking typically takes just an evening to create, so you can make quite a few between now and Christmas. Of course, it is just as beautiful as its larger cousin, so it will still be cherished and loved just as much as our larger versions. This stocking is made using Round Peyote and uses only delica beads. The shaping of the stocking is done as you go so there is no sewing two pieces of beadwork together and no awkward shaped edges to sew. Its big enough to hold a mini candy cane, sweet, notes or even money. As usual with ThreadABead featured patterns we give full detailed instructions and in this pattern, there are just 7 steps, making this pattern even suitable for beginners to beading. This bead pattern is made using Japanese Miyuki size 11 Delica. A form of Round Peyote stitch is used but full detailed instructions are given, and no previous knowledge of the stitch is required. Please note the pattern may not work with any other size and type of beads. There are 22 delica colours in total for the stocking and the finished beadwork is approximately 4.75 cm (w) x 5.5cm (h) (not including loop). 1 x 3mm Fire Polished Round 24kt Gold is also required.
