Charming 3D Cupcake Bead Pattern

These little cupcakes looks scrummy enough to eat. They are however little tiny beaded cakes with a decorative cupcake wrapper and a sparkling swarovski bead on top that looks just like a cherry! As they are just 2.25cm x 2cm, there are so many possibilites you could use them for, they can be made into earrings, pendants, key chains, mobile phone charms or even bookmarks! Being such a delightful and unusul design, this pattern uses a variety of techniques to create the cupcake design, including round peyote and herringbone stitch. As usual with ThreadABead featured patterns we give full detailed photographic instructions and in this pattern there are 36 detailed steps, making this pattern even suitable for beginners to beading. They are so quick to make up, yet looks so detailed and intricate. Have fun choosing beads and colours to match your favorite cupcakes! This ornament bead pattern is made using Japanese Miyuki size 11 Delica. A form of round peyote is used but full detailed instructions are given and no previous knowledge of the stitch is required. Please note the pattern may not work with any other size and type of beads. There are 3 delica colours in total and the finished beadwork is approximately 2.25 cm x 2 cm (not including loop). 1 x 6mm Swarovski Siam AB and polyester wadding is required. Please note depending on how you want to display your cupcake will depend on the findings you will use, in our example we have used a 1 x 3mm silver plated jump ring and a pink mobile phone cord.
