Further Information on Beadwork Design

In 2017 we went loco crazy with our festive Christmas Train Ornament.

At 10 inches long (with all carriages attached) this project became one of your most prized and stunning Christmas beaded ornaments.

However! You all wanted more carriages and we had so many requests for a caboose, so how could we not add to the train! Well here it is a new bonus carriage to add to your Christmas Train!

Please note, knowledge found in part 1 is assumed for part 6. So, what is a caboose?

Well it is a carriage that is usually at the end of a train where the crew can shelter, and on long journeys use as living accommodation.

Shall we see who is in our caboose?

Well there is elf Delightful Dreamy hanging out her stripy stocking and on the other side is Sleepy Snooze with his candle ready for bedtime.

But at the end, who is peeking around the door?

It’s Mrs. Claus waving!!!

Let’s wave back!

She always makes sure the elves are well looked after to ensure they are well rested to help Santa in his important work on the train. Please note:

This is the most advanced project currently available by ThreadABead.

It is recommended that the beader does have prior experience of beading.

Techniques used in this part are Odd Count Peyote and Round Peyote. As usual with ThreadABead featured patterns we give full detailed photographic instructions and in this part there are 80 detailed steps.

Please note the pattern may not work with any other size and type of beads. There are 13 colours in total and the finished beadwork is approximately 5.75cm (w) x 3.25 (d) x 5.5 (h) cm Wadding is required and a no tangle thread bobbin is very useful. The bead pattern supplied is 26 pages with full colour step by step photographic instructions and a coloured pattern chart where needed.
