The knee hugger is a vintage Christmas decoration from the 1950s and 60s. It originated in Japan (where our beautiful delica beads come from) and became a popular and much loved decoration for American families. In the present day the knee hugger is still soaring in popularity with vintage knee huggers being incredibly collectable. The knee hugger even lead to the recent phenomenon, Elf on the Shelf!
ThreadABead already has a knee hugger based on the vintage look which you can see here (
Beaded Knee Hugger Elf Bead Pattern By ThreadABead). Those are little boy knee huggers, as most knee huggers were back then. But not all knee huggers were boys, you could occasionally find girl ones and so Lynsey thought why not create a girl knee hugger to boss the boy knee huggers around!
Snowflake is a more modern girl, she enjoys skiing and making snow angels, She loves pom poms and her favorite piece of clothing is her pink and white stripy scarf.
