Mr and Mrs Gingerbread are 3D beadwork figures with plenty of personality, designed to be enjoyed well beyond the festive season — because gingerbreads aren’t just for Christmas, and these two are quite happy to keep you company all year.
The pattern is worked primarily in round peyote, making it a relaxed, enjoyable project with the emphasis on clean shaping and good structure. A small mix of techniques keeps things interesting, without the design becoming fiddly or feeling like hard work.
As they take shape, the Gingerbreads begin to feel like a proper pair — the sort who enjoy nothing more than chatting together over a cup of cocoa and a cinnamon bun, quietly keeping each other company as you stitch them into life.

In this pattern we give full detailed photographic and graphic instructions, and there are 86 detailed steps, making this pattern even suitable for beginners to beading.
This bead pattern is made using Japanese Miyuki size 11 Delica. Round Peyote and Odd Count peyote stitch are used but full detailed instructions are given, and no previous knowledge of the stitches are required. Please note the pattern may not work with any other size and type of beads.
There are 8 delica colours in total and each figure is approximately 4.5cm (w) x 5.25cm (h) x 2cm (d).
6 x 3mm Jet Fire Polished round bead is required, along with some Polyester Wadding
