Handcrafted bead by bead, this design captures the gentle charm otters are loved for. The pattern includes two versions: a single otter, happily holding a fish, or two otters, hand in hand beneath a suspended heart and loop. Inspired by real otters who hold hands so they don’t drift apart, the double version makes a quiet symbol of connection, friendship, or love.
Once complete, your otter can be finished as an ornament, bag charm, or keychain, or simply displayed somewhere it can quietly make you smile. It’s small enough to slip into everyday life, yet full of character and warmth.

This bead pattern is made using Japanese Miyuki size 11 Delica. Round Peyote stitch is used but full detailed instructions are given, and no previous knowledge of the stitch is required. Please note the pattern may not work with any other size and type of beads.
There are between 5-6 delica colours in total and a finished Otter is approximately 3.5 cm (w) x 5.75 cm (h) x 17mm (d).
7 x 3mm Fire polished Round beads in either Crystal AB or Siam are required along with some polyester wadding.
The bead pattern supplied is 44 pages and includes 98 step by step photo and graphic instructions. A word chart is also included.
