There is always something so Christmassy about the Cardinal, probably due to his striking red colour. This little unusual shaped mini bauble has 4 Cardinal panels showing Cardinals in different positions on wintery tree branches,
Additionally, the hanger also has an intricate little matching Cardinal incorporated into the design.
This ornament is made using only delica beads, and takes around 3-4 hours to bead. Stitches used are Odd Count Peyote and Round Peyote.
As usual with ThreadABead featured patterns we give full detailed photographic instructions and in this pattern there are 59 detailed steps, making this pattern even suitable for beginners to beading.
There are 9 delica colours in total and the finished beadwork is approximately 3.25cm x 5.5cm.
The design is mounted on a blue glitter 3cm bauble. Wadding and a red felt tip pen are optional.
