Mini 3D Mermaid Charm Figure Bead Pattern

As the weather starts to warm up, thoughts always turn to holidays and the sea-side. So, we thought if we wanted something to wear at the seaside a mermaid necklace would do the job nicely! Of course there are lots of things you can do with a mermaid charm, like making earrings, bookmarks, mobile cell charms etc Using just a few beads and findings, these little figures are so quick to make up, taking less than an 1-2 hours to create. As usual with ThreadABead featured patterns we give full detailed photographic and graphical instructions and in this pattern, there are 31 detailed steps, making this pattern even suitable for beginners to beading. This bead pattern is made using Japanese Miyuki size 11 Delica. A form of Round Peyote stitch is used but full detailed instructions are given, and no previous knowledge of the stitch is required. Please note the pattern may not work with any other size and type of beads. There are 7 delica colours in total and the finished bears are approximately 3.25cm x 1.75cm. 2 x 6mm Clear Crystal AB and 1 x 4mm Clear Crystal AB are required for each mermaid. If you want the mermaid to be a charm a head pin along with cutters and round nosed pliers are also required along with any other findings needed. Additionally it is optional to use a brown felt fen to hide showing thread. The bead pattern supplied is 12 pages and includes 31 full colour photo and graphical instructions.
