There are some of us who don’t need to leave out a big stocking for Santa, just a mini one for small expensive presents will do! Whilst we love our larger stocking ornaments, we thought it would be fun to create a smaller quicker version which would be ideal to give as little gifts. They can hold rolled money, notes, jewellery and even some sweets.
These stockings are made using Round Peyote and uses only delica beads. The shaping of the stocking is done as you go so there is no sewing two pieces of beadwork together and no awkward shaped edges to sew.
This bead pattern is made using Japanese Miyuki size 11 Delica. A form of Round Peyote stitch is used but no previous knowledge of the stitch is required. Please note the pattern may not work with any other size and type of beads.
There are 22 delica colours in total for the stocking and the finished beadwork is approximately 5cm (w) x 5.5cm (h) (not including loop). 3 x 3mm Fire Polished Gold beads are also required
The bead pattern supplied is 29 pages and covers step by step instructions for the first 5 rows only. A colour word chart and picture chart is provided. There are no photo instructions in this pattern due to the simplicity of the pattern.
